Rafie has been involved in hockey for the past 30 years and has been a hockey professional skating and skills development coach for the past 13 years.
Rafie is known for his very technical details to improve a player’s skating and hockey development skills.
Over the years Rafie has developed professional, NCAA, Olympic, OHL, WHL, Junior and youth hockey players.
In Junior B hockey, Rafie amassed 4 MVP awards, a highest scorer award and was a part of the Chatham Maroons squad that brought home Chatham’s only Sutherland Cup!
Rafie was drafted by the Belleville Bulls of the OHL and as a professional played in The United Professional Hockey League, The British National League, The Central Professional Hockey League, The Southern Professional Hockey League and the West Coast Professional Hockey League.
Rafie represented our country on Team Canada Men’s Inline Hockey Team winning 1 gold, 2 silvers and 1 bronze.
Rafie is also the founder of (UHC) Ultimate Hockey Camp where he spent his time running hockey camps in Chatham Kent and surrounding areas before relocating to the west coast where he currently resides.
While Rafie was in Ontario he also owned his own training facility called Protopapas Pro Training Center, where he trained professional athletes, Olympic, NCAA, OHL, Junior A-B-C athletes including minor hockey players
